Theme-SongAt a recent woman’s group I belong to, our leader asked us, “What is your inner theme song?” HA! This was an easy one for me because I’ve had this song for years……”Badlands” by Bruce Springsteen. There is just something about this song that brings out the inner bada$$ in me! It doesn’t matter where I am; when I hear this song, I belt it out as loud as possible. It fires me up, gets my blood pumping, and makes me feel good inside.

So, how do you choose a theme song for your life? According to Lillian Connelly, “You don’t. The song always chooses you. Sure, you can choose a battle cry song. A song that motivates you and gets you moving, but the soundtrack for your life happens organically.” This really got me thinking. Depending upon what is happening in my life, various songs will invoke various feelings. I’m sure it’s the same for you. So, is it possible to have just one theme song? Probably not. With that in mind, here’s a list of my Top 10 favorite songs. They each have a story behind them but I’ll save that for another time. (BTW – I’d love to hear what your Top 10 are.
